The EQ that transforms any source
With transformers, musical curves, and no bad settings.Midrange is almost always problematic in a mix. Too much sounds nasal or harsh, too little sounds dull or hollow. The W295 was designed for broadcast, for voices, which live in the critical midrange.
The W295 lets you push that midrange out with a smoothness that never gets nasty or honky, thanks to the broad peak curves. The W295a pushes out on different frequencies, and also has broad peak cuts that almost seem like a level control on the midrange rather than an EQ.
Huge bottom end
The W295 was justly famous for its ability to create big yet tight bass sounds. The secret is musical EQ curves and transformer saturation.

There’s air, and then there’s SITRAL’s air. Analog smooth with definition and musicality, with no harshness or breakup.
All About Tilt EQs
Tilt is a secret weapon.A Tilt equalizer combines a shelf boost with a complementary shelf cut. Tilting towards the highs adds broad brightness and a gentle low cut. Tilting towards the lows adds warmth and bottom while gently reducing the highs. The tilt revolves around 700Hz.
When to use tilt? If a track feels too thin, tilt it towards the lows. Overall thick and murky? Tilt to the highs. Combine tilt with the W295’s high and low shelves, and you have an EQ that can create curves no other plug-in can. It’s perfect for contouring mixes.
Inside the circuit
Controls the hardware kept sealed in the chassis.
Input and output transformer modeling allows you to add transformer saturation for rich, defined lows with precision control. Two different types of saturation, for sounds from vintage to mangled.
Amplifier adjustments change the performance and tonality of the SITRAL. It can go from gentle compression to fuzz box.

This plug-in made me want to overuse it as soon as I started playing with it, in a good way. It sounds so good and reminds me of the strange sounding hifi electronics we used to hotrod to use in the studio. Loads of fun, and really is its own thing.
I love this thing. I’m already using your SITRAL all over the place and replacing various other EQ’s. Super straightforward to use and, like all of your plugins, the interface is a pleasure to tweak.
Been reaching for the new Korneff SITRAL EQ a lot — it’s officially my go-to for electric guitars. It already sounded great, but they really took it to another level with the tilt and transformers/ saturation features. Effortless tone, every time.

One of the most musical EQs that I have ever used. Instant mojo, there are no bad settings. One of the best plugins I have ever dropped on a track by far!
I’ve very successfully used the W295 on my last two mastering projects… Immense character ( in the best sense of the word), ALWAYS musical. I especially like the 20k shelf. Honestly. I can’t find a bad setting. I LOVE it!
3 EQs in 1!! It gives such a rich analog character (rear panel) to the tracks that I want to use it everywhere…even with a flat EQ. I mostly use it in Model A…the adjustable tilt is so musical 🙂
Subtle and potent!
My new fave EQ, didn’t even think I needed another in my toolbox but wow, this thing rocks. Tone for days, style for miles. Can’t wait to see what these guys come up with next.
I got this plugin and immediately put it on the master buss for a live jazz record I was finishing up. I would suggest adjusting the input and output transformers, and the amplifier first. This really helped me bring focus to the overall picture and minimize the amount of EQ I needed afterwards. It worked so well that I used it a couple days later on the master buss for a live rock record. It did the trick there as well. Definitely not just another EQ! I like the W295b module best.

My dear old 295a has come back in digital form and feeling as alive and real and plain gorgeous – what a feat indeed and i can only guess how much blood sweat and tears it took you to get there.
After many years with the 295a, a Filtek EQ, Siemens V276 and TAB V672 preamps and TAB U273 compressor I’ve come to believe that those Haufe transformers (that seem to prevail throughout) are a big part of the magic. The way the lend definition to the ‘body’ of a vocal and a shimmer/glow at the same time is just ever so musical.
For example on a track with vocals and various acoustic instruments, just a tab of compression while tracking but all massaged with your Sitral, the way the elements dance and intermingle, seem to come alive from nowhere etc is way beyond the (fabulous) glue factor IMO and the ultimate seal of REAL. Folks, use less compression, more mic technique and SITRAL/Haufe glue…
So a double extra kudos for the obvious superlove you put in to get the transformers just so – (and all the expanded ITB possibilities of driving and shaping those little symphonies of harmonics to taste)!
Good people, if you have a Beyerdynamic M88 and this EQ there’s no more excuses – go under a bridge and scream until the vocal is happening.

Best 295 plugin out there, superior to all competitors!
I didn’t think I was in the market for yet another EQ, but then I demo’d SITRAL.
This thing is magical. Try it on overheads – it sounds more like adjusting faders for kit pieces than just boosting an EQ range. I put it head-to-head with the competition, and this is on another level.
The vocal track I had it on was a little heavy in character and Sitral instantly took that weight off and brought it forward, with a little extra love on the high end. I loved it. What makes Sitral even more special are the back panel options. Here is where I found a little sonic playground where I can further shape the character of the sound. I’m still learning what I can do with it. Highly recommended.
First off, plugins aside, as a disabled veteran I am very grateful to Dan and the entire Korneff team for offering these amazing plugins free to veterans! I appreciate the opportunity to access tools I may not otherwise be able to afford. Now a few words on the SITRAL W295. This EQ is not like the others! On bass I was able to push the plugin to musical perfection. The low end was clean, punchy and smooth. On vocals, I was able to tame and smooth some vocals I have been putting off for a while. I love the ability to tweak so many settings giving me the ultimate control in a tool that will find its way into my regular workflow! Thanks Dan!!
These three EQs are worth their weight in gold… my first thought was: they’ll be amazing for mastering! My second thought is that it doesn’t stop there… it’s impossible to go wrong when adjusting the knobs… you get different results, but never bad ones.
