Shure M67 Mic Preamp

A classic, colorful mic preamp that was the sound of Woodstock.

Shure M67 Mic Pre

Introduced in 1968 as a broadcast field mixer, the Shure M67 turned up everywhere from TV news remotes to the stage at Woodstock. Its transformer-coupled design gave it more character than anyone expected from a utility piece — warm, with an edge when pushed. Decades later it became a studio cult object, desired for its character and low-fi vibe.

The W295 was justly famous for its ability to create big yet tight bass sounds. The secret is musical EQ curves and transformer saturation.
